Varsity Girls Weightlifting Competes in Vero Beach's Tri-Meet

On 12/11/24, the varsity girls weightlifting team headed to Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach for a tri-meet that also included William T. Dwyer High School. In the Olympic category, Vero Beach scored 63, Dwyer scored 44, and the Pirates scored 2. In the Traditional category, Vero Beach scored 65, Dwyer 43, and the Pirates 1.

Sophomore Genevieve Medalie placed 4th in her weight class in Olympic, going 6for6 with 70/85/155, and she went 6for6 in Traditional with 85/85/160.

In her division, sophomore Issie Evans went 6for6 in the Olympic category (55/70/125) to place 4th and lifted 70/70/140 in the Traditional category. 

Eighth-grader Katie Padgett lifted 35/45/80 in the Olympic category and placed 4th in Traditional (45/55/100). 

Sophomore Valentina Henriquez went 6for6 in the Olympic category with 55/70/125 and lifted 70/65/135 in the Traditional category.

In her division, sophomore Jaida Jackson lifted 75/105/180 for the Olympic and 105/110/215 for Traditional.
 
Next meet is away on 1/14/24 at Frostproof Middle-Senior High School in Frostproof, starting at 4:00 PM.
