JV Boys Basketball Tames the Cougars
On 12/12/24, the junior varsity boys basketball team traveled to Merritt Island to go head-to-head against the Merritt Island Christian Cougars. Despite falling behind in the 1st quarter, the Pirates turned up the pressure and rallied back in the 2nd quarter. Never looking back, the Pirates went on to defeat the Cougars handily 75-41 and improve to 4-2 overall for the season.
Bobby Varricchio led the way for the Pirates with 14 points. Teammates Syrus Cooper and Mac Antle were close behind with 12 points apiece. Trey Dunlap sank 10 points, and David Vazquez and Trip Williams each collected 8 points. Reid Morris netted 7 points toward the victory, and Braxton Adams chipped in 4.
