Close One for Varsity Boys Lacrosse Against Eagles

On 2/13/26, the varsity boys lacrosse team faced off at home in Pirate Stadium against Saint John Paul II Academy. Despite trailing 1-4 at the end of the 1st quarter, the Pirates turned on the heat in the 2nd quarter to go into halftime tied 5-5 with the Eagles. The Pirates went into the 4th quarter 6-8 but never gave up, putting up 3 more goals against their opponents. Unfortunately, the Pirates were unable to completely close the gap before time expired, and they were narrowly defeated by the Eagles 9-10.

Connor O'Brien led the Pirates in goals scored with 4. Charlie Corrigan netted 2 goals, and Turner Barnett collected 1 goal and 3 assists. Brady McCoy put in 1 goal and 2 assists, and Shane Carroll added 1 goal. Bobby Varricchio recorded 3 faceoff wins, and teammate Jackson Parker saw 2 faceoff wins. Goaltender Edwin Provancher made 12 saves at the net.

Gameday stats for the Pirate team include 17 shots on goal and 14 groundballs.
