Varsity Girls Lacrosse Clinches District Quarterfinals

The varsity girls lacrosse team played Suncoast Community High School in the Class 1A District 13 Quarterfinals on 4/9/26 in Pirate Stadium. The Pirates handily defeated the Chargers in the playoff game, 18-1, to move on to the District Semifinals.

Margaret Fykes led the Pirates into battle with 3 goals and 1 assist. Netting 2 goals apiece were Eva Hall and Isla Dyer. CJ Fykes brought in 1 goal and 3 assists, and Lily O'Brien provided 1 goal and 2 assists toward the victory. Recording 1 goal each in the competition were Brooke Moore, Cailtin Moscrip, Cami Colontrelle, Grace Fykes, Kelly Lynch, Lily Chin, Madison DeCosta, Tenley Martin, and Gertie Busch-Dunford. The Pirates were on top of draw controls with C. Fykes winning 4, Moscrip winning 3, Blair Moore winning 2, Chin winning 2, and Nicollette Kennedy. C. Fykes and Chin collected 2 forced turnovers each, and teammates Avery Orzechowski, Colontrelle, and O'Brien contributed 1 apiece. At the goal, Abbey Carter recorded 1 save.
 
Next game is the Class 1A District 13 Semifinals at home on 4/13/26 versus Oxbridge Academy, starting at 6:00 PM on the Michael J. Mersky Field.
