Burke Michael-Neely attended Saint Edward's School from 1969-1976.  She played varsity volleyball, soccer and softball throughout her middle and upper school years. She played lacrosse from its inception and was a cheerleader for all of her Upper School years.

After graduation, Burke attended Virginia Intermont College and the University of Texas, where she received an advanced degree in Physical Education for the Handicapped. She returned to Saint Edward's as the girls Physical Education teacher, and coached JV volleyball and cheerleading.  Burke is a lifetime Girl Scout and an active member of St. Augustine's Canterbury Episcopal Church.
