MacMullans Take State Music Honors
Mr. Hengen was very pleased to announce this week that two students were accepted into the Florida State Honor Band. Patrick MacMullan, tuba, was accepted into the 7th & 8th Grade Band and Ellie MacMullan, flute, was accepted into the High School Honor Band. Normally, these students would travel to Tampa to rehearse and perform with the best musicians from all over the state. This year, since the Florida Music Educators Association conference was canceled due to Covid, FMEA wanted to at least honor these students for their dedication, talent and commitment to the Arts by creating the Band that might have been.
