SES Sets 2020 Food Drive Donation Record

JB
Father Barrett extends his gratitude to the community for the work in all divisions to donate food and encourage students and families to donate. As well, thank you to the upper and middle school home rooms for delivering the food in front of the library at 8:00.  What a flurry of activity that was!  Finally, thanks to the Student Council representatives and Community Service Club members who loaded the trailer at lunch time.

We had a blessing of the food (and the Thanksgiving cards) at the fountain.  Scott Turner, the Food Pantry director, spoke briefly to those two groups and said that 60% of the folks in our county make under $15 an hour.  He said our donation would go toward feeding many, many needy families.

Scott let us know that our food weighed 4580 pounds.  I heard that last year we accumulated 2100 pounds.  Please congratulate yourselves and the students for a job well done! What a blessing!
