Inside the Elections Office

Mr. Infanzón’s AP US Government and Politics class visited the Supervisor of Elections office for an inside look at how public elections are run. The students toured the facility and learned about the comprehensive process the office uses to prepare for, conduct and follow up on every election. The visit also gave students who were not yet registered the opportunity to do so, empowering them to participate in upcoming elections.

Senior Raymond Toole reflected on the experience:
Our trip to the Supervisor of Elections office was an amazing learning experience for all of us. We gained insight into the inner workings of public elections, including mail-in ballots and the voting process. As a student heading to college overseas next year, it was especially meaningful for me to understand how I can continue to participate in our nation’s elections. I was also able to register to vote for the first time, which will allow me to be more involved in the future. Overall, our class was fortunate to have such an informative and engaging experience.
