2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Congratulations to Mia Perez '28 for being awarded a Gold Key in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards - Region-at-Large South Art for her digital painting "Skinny Enough." Gold Keys are the highest regional honor, automatically advancing artwork to the national level for potential gold medals, silver medals and scholarships.
The Scholastic Awards are the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens, and a large source of scholarships for young artists and writers in the United States and Canada. Teens in grades 7-12, 13 years or older, are eligible to enter their original art and writing work for a chance at online exhibitions and scholarships.

The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the non-profit organization that administers the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, partners with more than 100 Affiliate Partners across the country that host the Awards in their community. Region-at-Large is the satellite region that presents the regional Awards for all students who live in areas that are not covered by an Affiliate Partner. Institutions interested in administering the Awards in the this region should use the contact us form to connect with us.
