JV Volleyball Brings Down MIC

The junior varsity volleyball team headed to Merritt Island on 10/3/24 to face off against Merritt Island Christian School. Despite being down 21-25 in the 1st set, the Pirates rallied together in the next 2 sets to put away the Cougars 25-21 and 15-8.

Piper McCollom showed her versatility on the court, providing the Pirates with 1 kill, 16 assists, 3 aces, and 5 digs. Joselyn Martin netted 4 kills, 2 aces, and 5 digs in the victory. Nahlia Hebig recorded 3 aces and 5 digs on the night, and Lily O'Brien tallied 4 kills, 3 aces, and 10 digs. Bebe Busch-Dunford and Leah Chin proved instrumental in keeping the Pirates in play with their 10 digs and 5 digs respectively. Halle Grella led the team in kills with 8 and added 1 block, and teammate Charlotte Folger had 4 kills. Adding 1 kill apiece toward the victory were Ashley Dube and Mia Maldonado.
 
Next game is at home on 10/7/24 versus Master's Academy of Vero Beach, starting at 4:00 PM.
