First-Inning Spurt Leads JV Baseball Past Bayside

The junior varsity boys baseball team opened their season on the road on 2/9/26 at Bayside High School in Palm Bay. The Pirates got off to a strong start, completing 11 runs in the 1st inning, allowing them to take charge of the game and defeat the Bears 19-0.

At the mound, Caden Freedman earned the win for the Pirates, allowing only 1 hit and 0 runs over 3 innings while striking out 7 and walking 3. Reid Morris tossed one shutout ball for the Pirate team in relief, giving up 0 hits, striking out 2, and walking 2.

At bat, the Pirates accumulated 16 hits in the game. Freedman led the Pirates with 4 runs batted in and went 2-for-2 on the day. AJ Francis led the team with 3 hits in 3 at-bats. Morris, Nolan Ange, and Braylon Kirkland each collected multiple hits in the successful day for the Pirates.
 
Next game is at home on 2/12/26 versus Port St. Lucie High School, starting at 5:45 PM at Blue Diamond Field.
