Sixth Grade starts Global Expedition Project

Keira Murphy
The Global Expedition Project is a semester-long project for all 6th graders that takes place in History, Skills, Science, and Art class. Each student will be randomly assigned a country and then will engage in an in-depth study to learn as much as possible about their country. Mrs. Bischoff, Mrs. Fykes, and Mr. Leonhardt are the creators of this project and their primary goals for students are to achieve more global awareness, learn new technology, and further develop their research skills during the project. Some activities include creating a website on Google Sites, making a Google Tour Builder, creating and filming a green screen travel video on iMovie, and designing a Choose Your Own Ecosystem Adventure on Google Slides. Students will be recreating a geological feature and artifacts in Art class with Mrs. Rogers. We will be kicking off this project in the next two weeks.
