Spring Play ONCE UPON A MATTRESS Opens February 22

Marie Campione (lk)
Our story begins in a faraway kingdom long ago.  Queen Aggravain, has decreed that no one in the kingdom may marry until her son, Dauntless, has a wife. Unfortunately, in an attempt to keep Prince Dauntless single, she has decreed that only the princess that can pass her test may marry her son. Her tests tend to be rigorous in the extreme.  Meanwhile, Sir Harry has found a new Princess to take the test: Princess Winnifred the Woebegone.  Queen Aggravain devises a test of "sensitivity" in which a pea will be placed beneath 20 mattresses to see if Winnifred can feel it. Much hilarity ensues as the courtiers and Dauntless attempt to help Winnifred prepare for the secret test.
Once Upon a Mattress opens Friday, February 22 at 7 p.m. with additional shows on Saturday 23 at 2 and 7 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
