Senior Internships this Week

The Class of 2019 spanned the globe for their internship week this year. Philip Chen returned to China to serve as a translator for an American company that is collaborating with a Chinese tech firm. He reports that the most difficult part is translating Chinese slang to English. Lauren Savage, who has dreams of becoming a nurse, shadowed doctors at the Cleveland Clinic and was able to observe joint repairs and a reverse amputation. Will Sternberg spent a week on Wall Street, and other students worked in orthodonture, veterinarian medicine and media. Students are tasked with securing their own jobs early in the spring, and they are evaluated by their superiors on attentiveness, work ethic and attention to detail.
