New Faculty/Staff: Meet Rev. John Barrett – School Chaplain

Relocating from Midland, Texas and a current resident of Vero Beach, Rev. John Barrett comes with 15+ years’ experience as a Chaplain and English teacher. He is a husband of 23 years to Barbara Bell Barrett and parent of four boys, ages 21-10, one of whom, Matthew, will become a Pirate in the sixth grade. Fr. Barrett is a writer of odes and tributes and his approach to ministry includes character emphasis, high academic standards, leadership development focus and community building, to name a few. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English Literature from The University of the South (Sewanee), master’s in English Literature and master’s in Education in Administration/Supervision from Fordham University (New York) and master’s in Divinity from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (Pennsylvania). We welcome Rev. Barrett and his family to our Saint Edward’s community.
