Varsity Baseball Tames Panthers

On 2/24/20, the varsity boys baseball team hosted Fort Pierce Westwood High School. The Pirates jumped out to an early lead over the Panthers and secured a 15-6 victory.

The Pirates offense led by Aidan Burdick and Nikita Gilmore was strong at the plate, with the team collecting 10 hits. Teammates Zander Beare, Aidan Heaney, Michael Mangieri, and Burdick helped pushed the Pirates to victory with several high scoring innings.

Starting on the mound for the Pirates, pitcher Casey Richey pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits while striking out six and only walking one. Relief pitcher Corey Richey threw two innings, recording the last six outs from the bullpen to earn his second save of the season.


Next game is 2/26/20 at home versus Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, starting at 5:30 PM.
