SES Celebrates Black History Month

MJ
Ms. Omawale produced an enlightening and entertaining Black History Month event this week in the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts. She invited dancers from Indian River Charter High School to perform a piece from Alvin Ailey's "Revelations" as well as a student-choreographed hip hop dance. Other students highlighted important achievements throughout history, and Jayla Brown, Imani Williams, Cristina Pines and the instrumental musicians performed carefully selected songs.
