Varsity Volleyball Victorious on Senior Night

The varsity volleyball team held their Senior Night against Morningside Academy on 9/29/20 in the Wachter Activities Center. In a thrilling game to the end, the Lady Pirates downed the Lady Eagles in 4 sets: 25-12, 19-25, 25-18, 25-20.

With hard work and communication as their theme so far this season, the Lady Pirates came out strong taking the first set 25-12. While they stumbled momentarily in the second set, the team bounced right back and kept up the fight until they found triumph in the third and fourth sets. The season record for the Lady Pirates has increased to 4-1.

In an amazing showcase of her skills on Senior Night, senior Miranda Morey earned 2 aces, 11 digs, 4 kills, and 4 blocks.

Additional highlights for the Lady Pirates: Elliotte Kahler - 20 assists and 2 aces; Alexa Soderman - 3 aces, 11 digs, and 11 kills; Meredith Burgoon - 6 digs and 3 blocks; and Alice Grace Lockwood - 8 digs and 9 kills.
