Varsity Football Grounds Eagles
On 10/30/20, the varsity football team traveled to Ocoee to take on Legacy Charter High School. The Pirates found their momentum on the field early on and managed to quickly shut down the Eagles. The Pirates defeated their opponents 24-6 and ended their regular season with a 4-0 record.
Reed Sternberg opened the scoring for the Pirates with his 15 yard run. Aidan Burdick recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, which led to Drew Sternberg scoring on a 1 yard run. Adding to his bounty, D. Sternberg also rushed for 124 yards on 8 carries. Colin Krieger scored on a 75 yard touchdown catch from Brennan Wolfe, with D. Sternberg kicking a 22 yard field goal to give the Pirates 24-0 at halftime.
Krieger led the Pirate defense with a caused fumble and fumble recovery as well as 7 tackles. Teammate Burdick also had an interception. Grant Domenech, Ashton Noe, Josh Langsam and BT Termidor produced numerous significant plays defensively to secure the victory.
