Stern Places at Varsity Swimming State Championship
The State Championship meet for Class 1A varsity swimming was held on 11/15/20, at Sailfish Splashpark Aquatic Center in Stuart. Freshman Alexandra Stern placed 7th overall in the 500 Freestyle, clocking a time of 5:02.12. For the 200 Freestyle, Stern placed 8th overall. With her time of 1:52.92, Stern has again broken her previously set pool record for the 200 Free, this time by over 2 seconds.
As the sole representative at States for Saint Edward's School, Stern's finishing times scored her 23 points, allowing the school to finish in 22nd place overall out of 40 teams.
