8th Grade Boys Basketball Halts Somerset Prep
On 1/7/21, the eighth grade boys basketball team hosted Somerset College Prep Academy at home. Despite a slow first quarter that ended in a tied score of 7-7, the Pirates took charge on the court, scoring 27 unanswered points in the next three quarters. The Pirates claimed an impressive victory over the Spartans, 35-8.
The Pirate team played with an unyielding defense throughout the game, and offensive standout performances by Carson Yates and Beckley Waldrop fueled the victory.
