Varsity Girls Basketball Competes in District Semifinals
On 2/2/21, the varsity girls basketball team traveled to Covenant Christian School in Palm Bay for the Class 2A District 12 Semifinals. The Lady Pirates fought hard on the court, taking an early lead against Morningside Academy at the beginning of the game. Both foul trouble and excellent shooting skills demonstrated by the Lady Eagles brought the season to an end for the Lady Pirate team, 26-56.
Leading the scoring for St. Edward's was Chase Nelson with 10 points. Also adding points to the board for the team were Raina Duggal (4 points), Dhanika Perez (4 points), Sommer Soderman (3 points), Gaby Collazo (3 points), and Karis Crookshank (2 points).
Congrats to the Lady Pirates for their incredible accomplishments on the court all season long!
