Successful Opening Day for Varsity Boys Tennis
Varsity boys tennis competed in their season opener on 2/10/21 at the Vero Beach Tennis and Fitness Club against Master's Academy of Vero Beach. The Pirate team proved their skills on the court against the Patriots, easily clinching a 6-1 victory.
Winning singles matches for the boys were Taran Taylor (6-3, 6-4), Jake Damiani (3-6, 6-4, 10-4), Jacob Chesley (6-3, 6-4), Sebastian Fernandez (6-3, 3-6, 10-7) and Cole Hackenburg (6-3, 7-5).
Max Brizzio won his exhibition singles match in three sets: 7-6(5), 5-7, 8-6.
Winning their #2 doubles match and securing the victory for the Pirates was the team of Damiani/Chesley (8-1).
