Varsity Baseball Achieves No-Hitter in First Home Game of Season

The Varsity Baseball team hosted Master's Academy of Vero Beach on 3/1/21 for their first home game of the season. In a combined no-hitter, the Pirates shut down the Patriots on the field, winning 19-4.

The Pirate team scored 5 runs in the first inning, followed by 5 more runs in the second inning. They closed out the third and final inning with 9 more runs. Leading the Pirates on offense were Zander Beare and Talan Crookshank, who both went 2-2 with 3 RBI's each. Tyler Beare went 2-3 with 2 RBI's, while Daniel Knight and Ayson McIntosh each collected 1 RBI.

On the pitching mound, Z. Beare earned the win for the Pirates going 1 1/3 innings, allowing only 3 runs on 0 hits and striking out one. Aidan Heaney threw 1 1/3 innings, allowing only 1 run on 0 hits; while Corey Richey threw 2/3 of an inning to close out the game and ensure the Pirate victory with 1 strikeout.

 
Next game is away on 3/4/21 at Fred Poppe Regional Park in Palm Bay against the Brevard HEAT, starting at 6:00 PM.
