It's Official: Mersky Field Dedication Ceremony

MJ
Nearly a year after former Head of School Mike Mersky learned the field would be named in his honor, the entire school gathered together in March 2021 to formally celebrate the dedication. Senior Lucy Kleinschmidt sang the National Anthem, Father Barrett offered prayers and Dr. Hirstein noted, "Mike has long recognized the importance and value of sports and the critical role athletics plays in education. We all remember the friends we made and the life lessons learned by being on a team. He spent countless hours here cheering for our student-athletes, committing to the mission of Saint Edward’s School which focuses on the whole child." Numerous trustees, both current and former, joined in the celebration, and close personal friend Jack MacMullan, Sr. traveled to be with Mr. Mersky for the memorable day. Congratulations, Mr. Mersky. You and Mrs. Mersky will always be Pirates!
