Varsity Volleyball Secures Spot in District Finals
On 10/19/21, the varsity volleyball team competed in the Class 2A District 12 Semifinals at Master's Academy of Vero Beach. The determined Lady Pirate team faced off against Merritt Island Christian School and defeated the Lady Cougars in straight sets: 25-20, 28-26, 25-20. The Lady Pirates will advance to the Class 2A District 12 Finals.
Outstanding game day stats for the Lady Pirates include 18 digs from senior Ellie Schrock; 17 kills and 9 digs by senior Alexa Soderman; and 3 aces, 8 digs, and 4 kills from sophomore Kelly Barnett. Sophomore Meagan Baker netted 7 blocks, and sophomore Elliotte Kahler led the Lady Pirates in assists and was instrumental at defense as well.
