Middle School and Upper School Angel Tree

(lk)
One of the proud traditions of Saint Edward's School is our support of the Angel Tree Project. For over twenty years, SES has partnered with the Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) to provide Christmas gifts for the children of the migrant workers who have played such a vital role in our state's agriculture industry. This year, SES has again been paired with three childcare centers operated by RCMA, serving nearly 200 children ranging from infants to five years old. The Angel Tree gift drive is a wonderful opportunity for our school to give back to the community and help less fortunate children.

The Angel Tree gift program will run from Wednesday, November 17 through Monday, December 13.  Thank you for helping a child have Christmas this year!

Angel Tree Instructions:
  1. Students may adopt an Angel from Mrs. Klotter (Middle School office) or Mrs. Cooksey (Upper School library).
  2. Shop for your Angel. The type of gift you purchase is up to you.  RCMA does ask that we be mindful that most of the families lack the resources to maintain gifts that require significant upkeep - for example, electronic toys that use lots of batteries.  Otherwise, select whatever feels right. The Angel tags have some information on them about the child that will help steer the family in selecting a gift.
  3. Place your unwrapped gifts in a gift bag making sure your Angel Tree Tag is CLEARLY and FIRMLY attached to the outside of the gift bag.
    • NOTE:  If a student adopts more than one Angel, please place each Angel’s gifts in separate bags
  4. So that your name can be marked off the list:
Middle School students, please show your gifts to Mrs. Klotter
Upper School students, please show your gifts to Mrs. Cooksey
    • NOTE:  If no one is available to mark your name from the list, please leave your gifts on the Library Circulation Desk
  5. Place your gifts under the division-appropriate Christmas tree in the library. Mrs. Cooksey will have one tree for the Middle School and one tree for the Upper School with signs to help guide you.
