Grade 6 Studies Ancient Sumerian Cuneiform Writing

This week in sixth-grade history, students practiced cuneiform writing on clay.  They learned about this first form of writing while studying the Ancient Sumerians.  They also learned that it isn't so easy to duplicate the intricate wedge-shaped patterns used in the Sumerian alphabet.
