Varsity Boys Soccer Outhustles Melbourne Central Catholic HS

The varsity boys soccer team hosted Melbourne Central Catholic High School on November 16 on the Michael J. Mersky Field. The Pirates jumped out to an early lead to defeat the Hustlers 4-1. The match, which was rescheduled due to Hurricane Nicole, was the home opener for the Pirates, who improved to 2-0 on the season.

Sophomore Marlon Dato-Slattery got things started for the Pirates when he deflected a ball from the goalie into the net for an unassisted goal. Junior Jah Jeune followed up with a goal on a beautiful assist from senior Brogan Buck. Dato-Slattery scored his second goal for the Pirates and then capped off the fantastic match with a third goal later in the second half, with assists by freshman William Kourakis and junior Pato Argote. Junior Alex Lee made 6 saves for the Pirates in goal.

 
Next game is away on 11/18/22 at Pineapple Cove Classical Academy in Palm Bay, starting at 4:00 PM.
