MS Boys Basketball's Grey Team Topples Patriots

The grey team for middle school boys basketball faced off at home against Master's Academy of Vero Beach on 12/1/22 in the Wachter Activities Center. In an entire team effort, the Pirates overthrew the Patriots on the court to win 52-20 and improve to 3-0 for the season.

Bobby Varricchio led the Pirates in scoring with 12 points, including 3 from behind the arc. Syrus Cooper had a strong game off the bench, scoring 10 points, while Reid Morris, in his first year as a basketball player, added 9 points from the post. Graham Hutton, Chris Campbell, and Robert Williams each recorded 4 points for the Pirates, and Mac Antle tallied 5 points for the team. Teammates Spencer Davis and Dylan Colontrelle each netted 2 points in the successful night for the Pirates. On defense, Nicky Golden kept the Patriot offense from getting started as he pressured the ball and created numerous steal opportunities for his teammates, which led to easy buckets.

Next game is at home on 12/9/22 versus Calvary Christian Academy of Port St. Lucie, starting at 4:00 PM in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center.
