Riveting Ending for MS Girls Basketball's Blue Team

On 12/8/22, the blue team for middle school girls basketball traveled to Fort Pierce to face off against Saint Anastasia Catholic School. While in the first half the Lady Pirates trailed the Lady Rams 6-11, the Lady Pirates bounced back in the 3rd quarter and were down by a single point going into the 4th. Led by strong ball control by Amajyn Cannon, the Lady Pirates controlled the final minutes of play, and Avonti Jennings' execution of a crucial defensive rebound in the final seconds of the game ensured the Lady Pirates' defeat of the Lady Rams 20-18.  The team has improved to 4-0 for the season.

Cannon amassed 8 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals in the Lady Pirate victory. Mackenzie Mostoller recorded 6 points, and Leah Chin tallied 4 points and 3 steals. Jennings also contributed a basket for the Lady Pirates.
