Varsity Girls Soccer Clinches SSAC 1A Championship Title
On 1/14/23, the varsity girls soccer team traveled to Foundation Christian Academy in Valrico to play in the SSAC Class 1A Championship. Despite being down 0-1 at the half, the Lady Pirates rallied with 4 unanswered in the second to tame the Lady Panthers 4-1 and win the championship title.
Millicent Critchfield led the Lady Pirates in scoring with her 2 goals, while Natalee Rogers and Elizabeth Campbell recorded 1 goal each. Valentina Zavala added 3 vital assists to help ensure the Lady Pirate victory. The Lady Pirate defense played a strong game, limiting the Lady Panthers to 3 shots.
