JV Boys Basketball Brings Down MCC
The junior varsity boys basketball team hosted Melbourne Central Catholic High School in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center on 1/18/23. Despite being down at the half 16-20, the Pirates rallied back in the 3rd quarter to pull the lead away from the Hustlers, 30-26. The Pirates ultimately defeated their opponents 46-39 to claim the victory.
Wyatt Burdick led the Pirates in scoring, netting 15 points; while teammate Cody Simmonds followed closely with 13. Cole Register tallied 8 points for the team, and Rushil Sura added 5. Also contributing toward the successful night for the Pirates were Jack Johnson (2 points), Carson Yates (2 points), and Seorim McLendon (1 point).
