Spanish 2 Classes Celebrate Trailblazing Afro-Latinos

In honor of Black History Month, Spanish 2 classes celebrated trailblazing Afro-Latinos. Honors classes wrote and starred in TV talk shows between a host and their influential guest using green screen technology. Students did an amazing job stretching their Spanish skills and producing engaging, hilarious and memorable videos.

College-prep classes created colecciones that are on display in the Waxlax. The colecciones—inspired by memorial displays in the Kennedy Space Center—highlight key aspects of the personal and professional lives of Afro-Latino movers and shakers. Please stop by to admire their work and practice your Spanish!

A very special shout out to Mrs. Fykes, Ms. Raymond and Mrs. Michos for sharing their expertise with Dr. Martin and her students!
