Christina Wang Wows Judges

PH
Christina Wang, a seventh grader at Saint Edward's School, participated in the District Eight Solo & Ensemble Festival this past Saturday, April 22, at Osceola Middle School in Okeechobee, Florida. She performed Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy, a Grade 6 Piano Solo. Jon Eckman, a highly respected Band Director and Clinician from Bartow High School, adjudicated the performance. Christina received a "Superior" rating for her performance, and Mr. Eckman used words like "Brilliant" to describe the performance and wrote "You are amazing!" on the adjudication sheet. Christina plays piano in the Jazz Band at Saint Edward's and is destined for greatness in the musical community. Her rating of "Superior" for a Grade 6 piece makes Christina eligible to perform at the state level. Pictured is Christina with Mr. Eckman.
