Varsity Cheerleaders Fire Up Crowd at Packed Football Opener

On 8/23/24, the varsity cheerleaders made their first appearance of the season at the home opener for varsity football. Cheering on the Pirates to their eventual 37-23 victory over Orangewood Christian School, the squad engaged the packed stadium with the help of their energetic mascot, Jack Engel. "Captain Jack", who has been an instrumental part of the team since he first appeared last school year, also donned a parrot suit to the delight of the crowd.

The cheer team chanted several fan favorites throughout the game, including "Dynamite," "P-P-P-I-R," and "Stomp." The student section made the cheer "Do It" a roaring success with their lively participation, and the squad skillfully executed the beloved "V-I-C-T-O-R-Y" cheer for the crowd.

This year's cheer squad consists of senior "Captain Jack" Engel; junior Shaniya Bryant; sophomores Maddie Brown, Jaida Jackson, Anna LuoGenevieve Medalie, and Rosalie Miller; and freshman Isabel Hurtado.

Next game is at home on 8/29/24 versus Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School, starting at 7:00 PM in Pirate Stadium.
