Varsity Boys Lacrosse Heads to District Finals

On 4/15/25, the varsity boys lacrosse team hosted Jensen Beach High School on the Michael J. Mersky field for the Class 1A District 8 Semifinals. The Pirates took charge on the field, putting away the Falcons 17-6 to secure their place in the District Finals.

Leading the Pirates into battle were Connor O'Brien with 6 goals and 4 assists and Chris Campbell with 5 goals and 3 assists. Charlie Corrigan and Turner Barnett netted 2 goals each for the Pirate team, and Brady McCoy provided 1 goal and 1 assist. Matthew Vatland nabbed 1 goal, and teammates Syrus Cooper and Keegan Nyman added 1 assist apiece. Tending the goal, Edwin Provancher made 2 saves, and David Vazquez had 4 saves. Nyman dominated in faceoffs with 18 wins, and Bobby Varricchio collected 1 faceoff win.

Additional stats for the Pirates include 32 ground balls, 26 shots on goal, and 2 caused turnovers.
