Varsity Volleyball Concludes Regular Season Play with a Win

The varsity volleyball team hosted The Pine School on 10/8/25 in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center for their last game of the regular season. Despite faltering in the 1st set 18-25, the Pirates came back with a vengeance in the next 3 sets to put away the Knights 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

Makena Rodriguez took charge on the court for the Pirate team with 14 kills, 2 assists, 3 aces, 6 digs, and 1 block. Margaret Fykes proved valuable on the court with 5 aces, 4 kills, 40 assists, and 6 digs, and teammate Nevin Waddell chipped in 11 kills, 2 assists, 14 digs, and 1 block. Grace Fykes, who recorded 1 kill and 3 assists, led the team in digs with 16, and Grace Clemente added 13 kills, 6 digs, and 1 block toward the victory. Also securing stats in the Pirate win were CJ Fykes with 3 aces and 7 digs; Khlieo Perez with 3 kills, 1 assist, and 1 block; Alice Crean with 2 kills, and Maddie Moscrip with 1 ace and 2 digs.
 
Next game is the Class 1A District 8 Semifinals on 10/14/25, starting at 5:30 AM at Merritt Island Christian School in Merritt Island.
