Varsity Baseball Grounds Eagles in Season Opener

The varsity baseball team hosted Jupiter Christian School at home on 2/19/26 on Blue Diamond Field for their season opener. Overall, the team had a strong night offensively, paired with solid pitching. The Pirates continuously worked well together to hold back the Eagles and ensure the 14-4 victory.

Caden Freedman started on the hill for the Pirates The right-handed pitcher surrendered 7 hits and 4 runs over 4 innings, striking out 4 and walking 2. Jack Torresson tossed 2 innings of zero-run ball for the Pirate team in relief. The hurler gave up 1 hit, striking out 2 and walking 1.

The Pirates collected 12 hits in the game. Nolan Ange collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, doubling in the 1st inning, singling in the 3rd inning, and singling in the 6th inning. Colton Freedman provided pop in the middle of the lineup, collecting multiple hits, and leading the Pirates with 4 runs batted in. Braylon Kirkland also saw many hits toward the victory.
