Varsity Baseball Takes Lead & Never Looks Back in Win Over Eagles

The varsity baseball team played Calvary Chapel Academy at home on Blue Diamond Field on 2/20/26. The Pirates took an early lead and never looked back, clinching the victory 16-1 against the Eagles. 

The Pirates got on the board in the bottom of the 1st inning after Caden Freedman doubled, scoring 2 runs; Rodney Stephens singled, scoring 2 runs; Braylon Kirkland hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run; and Graham Hutton doubled, scoring 2 more runs.

Nolan Ange earned the win for the Pirates on the mound. The starter allowed just 1 hit over 4 innings, striking out 7. Leading the offense, Hutton and Stephens each collected 2 hits for the Pirate team. Jack Torresson paced the Pirates with 3 walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting 12 walks for the game while also stealing 11 bases.
