Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons, Oh My!

Shelby Fontana
Fourth graders recently wrapped up their unit on atoms by bringing the invisible to life! After studying the structure of atoms and learning about protons, neutrons and electrons, students used Model Magic to create detailed 3D models. They carefully constructed nuclei filled with protons and neutrons and added electrons in orbit around the center. This hands-on project helped solidify their understanding that everything in the universe is made of tiny, powerful building blocks.
