JV Baseball Takes Lead & Never Looks Back in Win Over Morningside

On 3/23/26, the junior varsity baseball team hit the road for Lakewood Regional Park in Fort Pierce to take on Morningside Academy. The Pirates jumped out to the lead in the top of the 1st inning after Caden Freedman doubled, scoring 1 run; Braylon Kirkland drew a walk, scoring 1 run; Tomas Martin drew a walk, scoring 1 run; Rodney Stephens hit a sacrifice fly, scoring 2 runs; and Graham Hutton doubled, scoring 1 run. The Pirate team added 1 run in the 2nd inning after Jack Torresson singled to right field. Ultimately, the Pirates won big over the Eagles, 15-0.

Stephens began the game on the mound for the Pirates. The starting pitcher gave up 2 hits and 0 runs over 2 innings, striking out 4 and walking 1. At bat, the Pirate team accumulated 16 hits in the game. Ange, Gra. Hutton, Griffin Hutton, Colton Freedman, Stephens, and Kirkland each collected 2 hits for Saint Edward's.
