Varsity Boys Lacrosse Stays Ahead of VBHS

Varsity boy lacrosse hosted Vero Beach High School on 3/24/26 on the Michael J. Mersky Field. The 1st quarter saw the Pirates maintain a lead over the Indians 3-2, and the Pirates went into halftime ahead 8-5. The Pirates forged ahead in the second half to defeat the Indians 11-6.

Topping the scoreboard for the Pirate team were Connor O'Brien and Turner Barnett, both with 3 goals and 1 assist. Charlie Corrgian brought in 2 goals for the Pirates, and Brady McCoy provided 1 goal and 1 assist. Teammates Chris Campbell and Syrus Cooper netted 1 goal apiece, and Finn Conforti added 1 assist. Winning faceoffs for the Pirates were Bobby Varricchio with 4 wins and Matthew Vatland with 3. Edwin Provancher ruled the net, making 18 saves on 24 shots on goal.
 
Gameday stats for the Pirate team include 37 shots on goal and 13 ground balls.
 
Next game is Senior Night on 3/27/26 versus Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, starting at 7:00 PM on the Michael J. Mersky Field.
