Cheriton Captures Gold at Varsity Boys Weightlifting Districts

Varsity boys weightlifting competed in the Class 1A District 12 Tournament at Frostproof Middle-Senior High School in Frostproof on 4/9/26. William Cheriton took 1st place in both the Olympic and Traditional events in his weight class and hit 8 of his 9 lifts. Also medaling for the Pirates in their weight classes were Alexander Wolek with 2nd in both Olympic and Traditional, Rome Barker with 2nd place in Traditional, and Brody Crookshank with 2nd in Olympic and 3rd in Traditional. The team finished 4th overall in Traditional and 5th overall in Olympic. Regional qualifiers will be announced this weekend. Individual scores for the Pirate team are below:
