Varsity Baseball Collects 1st District Championship Title since 1997

On 4/17/26, the Pirates returned to Lakewood Regional Park in Fort Pierce to this time compete in the Class 1A District 8 Final against Master's Academy of Vero. The Pirates saw 7 runs in the big 1st inning, with Reid Morris doubling, scoring one run, and AJ Francis singling, scoring 1 run. Saint Edward's added 2 more runs in the 3rd after Caden Freedman singled to left field. The Pirates saw a clean sweep, 10-0, against the Patriots to claim the first District Championship trophy since 1997.

Freedman earned the win on the mound for the Pirates with his masterful performance. The hurler surrendered 2 hits and 0 runs over 5 innings, striking out 4 and walking 1. At bat, Freedman drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Pirate team with 3 RBI’s.
