4th Place Finish at State Sweep Earns Mack's Crew a Bid to Regional Championship

The Florida Scholastic Rowing Association State Sweep Championships were held on April 25-26, 2026, at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. The event hosted 42 of Florida's top youth rowing teams across 28 events. Freshman Colin Mack competed in the boys Freshmen 4+ with the Vero Beach Rowing Club. His crew finished 4th, narrowly missing the podium behind North Palm Beach, Gainesville, and Pine Crest. This strong finish, combined with consistent performances throughout the spring season, earned Mack's boat a spot in the USRowing Southeast Regional Championships on May 9-10, 2026, which serve as a qualifier for the National Championships in June.
