Our daughter is so happy and that makes us happy also. She feels safe and is coming home fulfilled with all the new learning experiences. She has excellent teachers and is getting exposed to Spanish and music which I feel are so important.
PE is another highlight, as is the playground. She has enough space and time to run around and play so she is tired at the end of the day and goes to bed happy! We have been extremely pleased with the experience our daughter is having in the Lower School at Saint Edward's School.

Investigating the Skeletal System: Hands and Feet
The next time you’re at the dinner table or driving in the car, ask your second grader if they know what their phalanges or metacarpals are! Our second graders turned into little scientists as they explored the amazing bones in their hands and feet. They traced their hands, added bright colors and labeled each bone, discovering how all those tiny parts work together to help them move, grab and hold. Next, they labeled the bones in their feet, noticing how hands and feet are similar—and how they’re different, too. This fun activity showed students that, even though their hands and feet may be small, those tiny bones team up in powerful ways!Read More -
LEGOS, Learning, Living and Non-Living Things!
Read MoreFirst-grade students explored science through hands-on learning, using LEGOS to create examples of living and non-living things. Working together in small groups, they discussed simple characteristics of living things, such as growing, needing food and water, and being able to move or change. Students shared their ideas, listened to one another and collaborated to decide how to classify their LEGO creations. This engaging activity encouraged teamwork, creativity and early scientific thinking in a fun and meaningful way. -
Lower School Students Demonstrate Academic Achievement
Read MoreRecent NWEA MAP assessment results highlight the strong academic performance of our lower school students. Students in grades 3-5 performed exceptionally well across both reading and math. In reading, students scored in the top 23% nationally, with more than 80% reading above grade level. Math results were just as strong, placing our students in the top 26% nationwide, with over 75% performing above grade level. These results highlight the strong foundation being built in our classrooms, with a clear emphasis on literacy, critical thinking and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. We’re proud of our students’ hard work and the dedicated teachers who guide them every day!
