Varsity Volleyball Tames Lady Cougars

On 10/6/20, the varsity volleyball team hosted Merritt Island Christian School in the Wachter Activities Center. The Lady Pirates pulled out all the stops to beat the previously 8-1 Lady Cougars in a 5 set showdown: 23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-11, 15-5.

The battle on the court was hard fought with many different tactics being utilized by the Lady Pirates. Alexa Soderman led the team with 17 assists, 7 aces, and 12 kills. Meredith Burgoon recorded 10 digs and aces, while freshman Elliotte Kahler collected 2 aces, 8 digs, and 10 assists. Teammate Alice Grace Lockwood also weighed in with 10 kills for the night. Senior Miranda Morey fittingly served out the game-ending point in her last home match at Saint Edward's School.

The Lady Pirates are now 8-2 for the season.
