Studio Art: The Grayscale Portrait Project

Ms. Sherrier (lk)
In Studio 9-12, we've been working on portraits. Students were tasked with recreating half of their faces using only black and white acrylic paint.

Students looked at images of themselves and sketched out proportion and form. Then they used several different kinds of acrylic painting techniques including blocking, layering, detail work, and dry-brushing to create their faces.

We hope you enjoy our work! Click to see!
