September 11 Interviews

Kelly Fykes
In Advanced English for International students, Mrs. Fykes taught the students about the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001. While many of the students were familiar with September 11, they admitted that they definitely learned new information and facts. As a culmination of the lesson, the students were paired up with a faculty or staff member for a one on one interview. The students asked questions about the adults' memories or connections with September 11. Then, each student will report their findings back to the class. In addition, to making the learning more personal, it also gave the international students the opportunity to meet some new people on campus.
